With the help of our loyal customers, Shopko was able to team up with vendor partner, VF Jeanswear, to raise $28,000 in the fight against breast cancer. “This was a true team effort,” said Susan Vergamini, Shopko Vice President, Divisional Merchandise Manager of Women’s Apparel. “We approached VF to work with us on an idea for Breast Cancer Awareness month in October. Our Advertising Department at Shopko developed a campaign to help tell the story and the promotion was a great success.” For each pair of Rider jeans or casual pants Shopko customers purchased during the week-long promotion, Rider donated $1.00 to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure organization, the world’s largest and most progressive grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists. The event resulted in a $28,000 donation. “This was a great opportunity to do something of great meaning and I thank Shopko for giving us the opportunity,” said Mike Lovitz with VF Corporation. | ||||
