REISS introduces 'Elements' with Jamie Morgan

For the launch of the Autumn Winter Collection REISS has collaborated with renowned photographer and filmmaker, Jamie Morgan, to create an artistic short film that highlights the feel and aesthetic of the upcoming collection.

"This season is a step forward for Reiss with a collection we are really excited about. Showing our key products in this new and innovative way felt right for where we are going, as a way of capturing all the energy and excitement that is apparent throughout every aspect of our brand. And generally, if we're this excited about it, I'm confident that our customers will be too." - David Reiss

David Reiss understands what his brand DNA is about as he has been successfully making innovative decisions at the helm of the company for nearly 40 years. He recognized that choosing to shoot the campaign on video was a bold move and was confident that it was the right time for the brand to take this step.

The creative inspiration came as the result of an artistic collaboration with Jamie Morgan, renowned photographer and film maker who founded London's creative collective 'Buffalo' in the 1980's.

The 'Buffalo' collective changed the nature of image making through its pioneering work in The Face. His sense of exploration and creative instincts then brought him to explore moving images which translated into a series of short but beautifully emotive films as well as portrait and documentary studies.

Kate Moss to no more design for Topshop

The successful alliance between supermodel Kate Moss and clothing chain Topshop that persisted for three years, is now towards concluding, the year-end.

The clothing chain has 10 outlets spread across Northern Ireland. Topshop’s autumn and winter collection designed by Moss would be the fourth and last collection of the alliance.

Moss got into this partnership with the clothing chain through her friendship bonds with the chains owner, a retail tycoon, Sir Philip Green. Now, as the alliance sees its end and both parties refute any rift, with owner of the chain saying that they are bringing an end to the collaboration as Moss has other commitments.

The 36 year old model is believed to have taken home at least £3 million for the collections she designed, a majority of which became popular amongst Topshop customers. Three years back, when her first collection was launched by the clothing chain and thousands of people lined up in front of the chains flagship store at Oxford Street.

USC offers Levi’s Jeans archetypes collection

Levi’s new line for Autumn Winter has just arrived at USC with key looks and top-to-toe denim. Levi’s Jeans epitomise classic American cool, Levi Strauss & Co. having invented denim jeans in 1873. This season they deliver a collection inspired by the archetypes that celebrate the spirit of the American lifestyle, full of attitude, hope and freedom covering three key looks; the brain, the jock and the rebel.

The brain, who is a self styled nerd, is intelligent with lots of style and most definitely not a geek. The studious look consists of sharp silhouette’s, trucker jackets, denim chambray shirts and chinos that remain on-trend and directional worn with crisp, clean preppy shirting in checks and stripes.

For the jock look, the collection offers more athletic collegiate inspired pieces– think shawl collars on knitwear and classic baseball style jackets.

The key mood for the rebel focuses on the ‘rebellious’ top-to-toe look, feeling hard but delivers it with a rock ‘n’ roll edge that is undeniably Levi’s in spirit using a darker palette, focusing on blacks, overdyes and confident directional finishes.

Eco-Panda will also be offering exclusive steals & deals on their 2009 swimwear to all Go Green Expo attendees.

Eco-Panda splashed on the scene of the swimwear industry in June of 2009. Debuting their eclectic line of swimwear featuring vibrant colors & bold hues, Eco-Panda drew inspiration from fashion mecca’s of the world including: Tokyo, Cozumel, Morocco, and Paris. The Eco-Panda brand has proven that eco-fashion doesn’t have to lack style or quality. No attention to detail has been spared with this impeccable line of eco-swimwear, including the fact that each garment lasts up to three times as long as the average swimsuit due to the unique blend of MIPAN regen.

Waves of Change…Eco-Panda swimwear is composed of MIPAN regen recycled nylon, which is created from post-consumer fishing nets. The recycled fishing nets are ground into fabric chips, which are then liquefied, creating fiber, which in turn is spun into fabric.
